The BS520/PNA4603 for Solar Radiance Monitoring

Cheap sensor mounting caps.

These mounting techniques though shown with the PS520 photodiode, can also be used with the PNA4603 sensor. Both may need some sort of translucent cap in order to limit the amount of light reaching the sensor in outdoor environments.  Another option is to use polarized filter material with quartz glass lens or a fiber optic light pipe system..Look at the sensors spectrum curves and your lens materials and your needs to determine suitability for your purposes.

BS520 Sensor shown mounted in a Diet Coke cap that has been screwed onto a pipe thread. This makes for an easily replaceable module.
BS520 Sensor module with Pipe threads shown screwed into a cheap PVC T mounting commonly used in a drip irrigation system. With a short length of drip irrigation pipe back to the collection box electronics. This system was part of a ground level light sensing experiment system, where only the cap and a short amount of the pipe extension would be above ground level.
Showing a Coke bottle cap mounted sensor under a red cover. This unit is mounted in a box with rubber O-rings to seal the red cover to the case. Since the BS520 senses in the blue region the red cover has almost no effect on the sensor.

Another translucent cap (using a translucent lens cap, mounted in plastic hose, which is mounted in a T fixture).  The bottom of the T would be used to allow a ground temperature monitor sensor string to be added to this assembly.

PVC fixtures may also be used depending on your needs.

Showing some surplus low cost lens, both red and clear. That may be suitable for your final custom enclosure.
