We make a small number of bare LP-series PCBs available for the true, do it yourself builder/experimenter. These high quality boards require small 1206 or smaller smt components, and are NOT recommended for everyone. (If you don't know what a 1206 size is, then these boards are not for you. You should be very comfortable working with small smt components and have access to the appropriate tools and working environment, and be willing to spend the time and effort needed for their assembly. Part insertion order can be very important in working with boards with these component densities. We have tried to make available, when possible, general assembly and testing guidelines to ease the assembly process.
Bare PCBs are sold in the form we receive them from our PCB producer, and may require further minor finishing work before use. (This will include adjustments for fit and final cleaning). These are however the same boards we use in our assembled units.
The LP series boards were designed to just fit in CN-0000 plastic case and were carefully designed for slight overhang of some components (RJ-45 jacks, LEDS, etc.) for this particular case. Case drilling and milling (which can also be done with a file) is necessary for proper case fit.
All boards are sold AS IS with no returns, and we cannot offer ANY board repair nor guarantee their suitability for any particular use. When in doubt, we suggest that you consider the assembled versions instead which we DO guarantee to be working and tested when shipped from our location.
These boards will be in limited supply, so it is recommened that you drop us a E-MAIL at PreOrder@SpringbokShop.Com if you are interested in placing a pre-order. We will then place a hold on a unit for you. You will be contacted by Email when the board is actually ready to be shipped and the final order can be placed at that time.
